Litsa Menounos, Maria's mom, had been diagnosed with glioblastomamultiforme (GBM) that is a deadly and hard-to-treat type of brain cancer, towards the end of August in 2016 in the age of 60. Menounos took on an active role in caring for her mother as she underwent radiation and chemotherapy. Mariah Carey has been an American performer, actor, producer and owner of a record label since the 1980s. Guinness World Records referred to Mariah Carey as Songbird Supreme. Her songwriting style is melodic and she uses the whistle register to create her trademark style.
